Side Story 4.47 - Familiar Faces
Jhoanna’s POV
Three days had passed since Johanis' naming ceremony, and the pack was still riding the high of celebration. The feast had lasted long into the night, with music, stories, and, of course, Rio making a complete spectacle of himself. The memory of him dramatically reciting an old warrior's tale atop a table—only to fall straight into the firewood pile—was something I would cherish forever.
It had started innocently enough. Someone had mentioned an old legend, a tale of a warrior who single-handedly took down a mountain lion to save his pack. Of course, Rio, in all his theatrical glory, had deemed himself the perfect storyteller for the occasion. Standing atop one of the tables near the fire, he had begun his performance, his voice deep and commanding, hands gesturing wildly as he reenacted the battle.
It was going well—too well.
