Chapter 25. Sleepover

William pulled her into another tight hug, “Go back to Sheila, I’m sure she’s probably looking for you.” he said, kissing her forehead. He loosens his hold and helps her to stand. Patting her head he tugs a loose strand of hair behind her ear and adjusts his cardigan on her, “Keep it. it looks good on you.” He picked up his packet of peanuts that he’d kept to the side and went deeper into the woods.

Queen still breathing hard from their ordeal touched her lips as it tingled from the cold air after a warm kiss. She couldn’t believe what just happened.

She walked out of the forest in a daze, “Hey, I’ve been looking everywhere for you, where were you?” Sheila asked, staring intensely at Queen.

Queen shakily spoke, “Woods.” Sheila didn’t know what to say.

Grabbing Queen’s hand, “You know, what we’ll have this discussion at your place, let us go and join your mum and pack.”
