Nikki

“What am I doing here?” He seemed surprised that I would ask. How could I not? Tom was standing in my office during working hours, and he just expected me to go all quiet about it.

“Oh my God, you weren’t paying attention to my phone call, were you?” He widened his eyes and closed my door behind him.

“Nikki, this is what I always have to say about you. You never listen to anything I have to tell you, and it hurts really bad.” He frowned and stopped right in front of me.

I stood to my feet and tried to get him to bring his voice down. “Tom, this is my office. You’ll get us in trouble if you aren’t careful.” I whisper-yelled at him.

“Nikki, this is saddening. I spent minutes explaining how Fester got me a job in your company; I can’t believe you didn’t...” He said. I cut him off by pulling his collar, causing him to move toward me.
