The next day I left Nocturne to sleep in at the estate and decided to head to the king’s castle on my own. It was not very difficult to sneak away since I was able to teleport to the castle freely still. I teleported myself to the corridor that was just outside of Raymond’s quarters. I knew he would not be there because he had plans to escort Tier to the magic tower so he could be assigned a magic-user as an emissary during his stay in the empire. I figured Kosma would have no interest in such a diplomatic task but was not completely sure of this. I prayed that my guess was right as I started walking around the corridor, using my powers to sense a divine presence.
