“Hello, Bethany. Jordan called and said you guys were doing some major renovations and could use all the hands you could get,” Reed greeted me.

“Major renovations?” I parroted and looked back at the house.

I could not see from where I was standing. But the last time I checked the work that they were doing, it didn’t look like major renovations. I knew the house needed some major work done. But right now, I just did not have the time or money to fix it up. I was just going with what I could fix and hadn’t realized the boys would have thought I meant more.
