Kevin stood up and walked slowly, purposefully around the table, and pulled my chair out before squatting, so we were at eye level.

“That is no way to speak to us, and I’m rather disappointed that you thought you could get away with it,” he stated in a deceptively quiet voice.

“I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to… I was just… embarrassed and…” I stuttered out.

He glanced over at Alyssa, who was giving me the same look of disappointment and anger.
