Chapter 18
Riley
Riley was bored with the winter holidays. He was getting up late, freezing cold half the time, and had nothing to distract himself with other than a bit of self-training while the team was on break. He had snuggled up with a blanket on the floor to watch the Saturday morning cartoons when Devon stumbled out of his room.
“Morning, Devon!” he called out.
“Hey, Riley.”
Riley looked up as Devon headed over to the kitchenette.
“There’s a pot of fresh coffee if you want some,” he said.
“Oh, you angel!” Devon chuckled as he poured some into a mug.
He settled himself on the other sofa to drink it.
“What are your plans for the day?” he asked.
Riley sulked. “Got nothing planned.”
“Let’s catch a movie.”
“Yeah, if you want to.”
