Zayne pressed the phone to his ear, trying to control the anger seeping through. There was so much anger that he had to stare at the ceiling and steady his breath.
"Boss," Maximo's voice came over the speaker, "Are you there?"
"I am," Zayne muttered, narrowing his eyes; he knew he shouldn't flare up over the phone because his first cousin didn't understand the word "no," which he had said countless times.
