He knew he had told Luca he was going to take a drink and thought he might get wasted through the night, but who was he kidding? Sitting down, he couldn't even manage to keep two glasses in.

He had stood up from the chair, placed his bills on the tray, and left the bar.

Since Luca had told him about Maya being found by Damon, no matter how hard he tried to push it off, it still bit a part of him.

Luca was right; he was almost scared to face her, running from explaining their night together.

What was he going to tell her? That it was a mistake? All of it?  It might have been a mistake, but damn, he couldn't help but relieve the night in his head.

And for five years, it had stuck in a part of his brain.

He sighed before entering the car, turning on the ignition, and driving out of the parking lot. Hopefully, once he got home, sleeping the thought off was the best thing to do.
