Lana seethed, glaring in the direction Chris had gone through. I tried to calm her down. There was no need to chase after him.

I’d only get myself exposed or injured, but surely not killed. He had hesitation when handling me. I suspect I still had the scent of Black Hills.

Dara mind-linked to me, asking if the warriors should return. I affirmed. “Today’s training should end. That Alpha has destroyed my mood.”

Camilla, in her wolf form, crawled towards me. I was still facing the path Chris had run through. What had made him leave his palace?

“Tell me you know why he came this far?” I asked Camilla.

“Information I got from the palace was that the Alpha was chasing after Jake and the Delta. They were on their way home,” she said.
