"Kim and I placed a bet on who you'd choose between us..." He explained but stopped when he noticed how surprised my eyes were.

"What?" I found myself asking again.

"Well. I was with the boys when Kim mentioned he could pull any of the girls in our class... and someone else said he couldn't pull you 'cause you didn't speak to anyone but Casey and Nick agreed with the guy, but then, Kim said he'd prove it. He said he would ask you out and you'd say yes and he'll bring back evidence... and so I kinda told him you'd rather go out with me than him... and we placed a bet on it."
