I didn't see my aunt's car when I got home so I opened the door and went in. Nick was sitting in the living room, using his phone.

"Fucking lucky, that's what you are," he told me when he saw me. I was about to check the time when my aunt pulled up outside."Is that Uche's shirt you're wearing?" Nick asked, but I didn't wait to answer that; I just rushed up the stairs to fix myself in bed before my aunt came in.

"Where's Julie?" I heard my aunt ask on her way up the stairs about a minute later.

"I don't know. She hasn't left her room all morning." I heard him answer skillfully.

"Well, check on her for me, I'm tired. She might not be feeling well like before." I heard my aunt again before the closing of her room door.
