Chapter 134

A year and a half later.

I rushed into my faculty building, jumping over the short bushes used to decorate the front of my lecture hall so I could get into class before my professor did. I didn't want to have her questioning why I was late to her lecture in front of the whole damn hall.

I got to class and quickly looked around. Everywhere was filled. It always was whenever it was Professor Jay's class. I started up the aisle leading to higher seats and when I finally saw a free one directly near the aisle, I sat and took a deep, calming breath.

"Hi, did you do Professor Jay's assigned research on..."

"Oh shit," I muttered to myself. I had completely forgotten about the research until the guy seated next to me asked about it.
