Chapter 128. Bold Speculation
"Why doesn’t he just resurrect the person himself? What’s the point in aiding my ascension to level seven? Lancelot almost died, and yet he was saved."
Rubbing his chin contemplatively, Hubert waited for Jacob’s reply, which came promptly: "The person Domi seeks to revive is already dead—absolutely dead. It’s called ‘resurrection,’ not ‘saving a life.’ The two situations are hardly comparable."
"So that’s how it is? The person is already dead." Hubert mused, nodding in comprehension.
For some inexplicable reason, Domi’s intent to save someone evoked a surge of emotion within him. The mere mention of that mysterious person’s death triggered a gnawing ache in his chest—as if he, too, had experienced it firsthand.
"Swoosh!"
Interrupting his reverie, the door burst open, and Winston, escorted by Alberto, entered the room, proceeding straight toward Jacob.
"Master Domi, I’ve brought him here." said Albe
