Chapter 33. Mutant Fire Bat (2)

Rowan’s words reverberated in the chest of each standing there. Unlike Hubert, they needed to be more knowledgeable about the ominous red spots in the sky.

Hubert shouted: "Run fast, and those are fire-element mutated bats. Their keen senses seem to have detected us already!"

"Mutated bats? Damn it! With such a large swarm, how can we fight back?"

People started running in panic. If not for the already-paved road, they would’ve tumbled and rolled. Hubert could hear the creepy buzzing sound right behind. That sound made his skin crawl. His feline instincts awakened with the terrifying sound continuously piercing through his nerves.

Buzz! Buzz!

The wind roared across the sky, and a deep red swarm persistently chased them from behind while a bat was flapping its wings in the sky. It was enveloped in intense fire, swirling like a boomerang, with a wingspan of around three meters, similar to a gliding parachute streaking across the sky.
