Chapter 32. Mutant Fire Bat (1)
Before he could think any further, the ground suddenly began to shake violently. Hubert felt like he had been tossed into the air, rolling on the floor like a sack of potatoes. The sky darkened after about seven or eight seconds, and the earth returned to normal.
His eyes widened as he scanned his surroundings, and everyone else was flat on the ground due to the previous shock.
"What just happened? Why did the sky suddenly go dark?"
Canis first broke the silence, and Hubert subsequently approached to help him up. Under the jet-black sky at this moment hung two enormous blood-red moons, their light woefully dim. They barely illuminated the vague shadows of people, making it impossible to discern one from another.
Luckily, Hubert had a penetrating vision so that he could see clearly. What on earth was going on? Why did the previously bright day suddenly turn into pitch darkness, with two blood-red moons?
