Chapter 68. Synchronized Harmony

Gideon, spying on his beloved, rarely exhibiting such puppy-like mannerisms, felt an irresistible urge to tease.

“You, afraid of death?” He asked, a glint of mischief in his eyes.

“Who wouldn’t fear death?” retorted Caradoc instantly: “Do you?”

There was a sliver of anger in his voice, probably residue from his anger over Gideon’s flirtations with Nathan. However, Gideon was oblivious to this and continued his tease:

“Who knows? I thought you were pretty brave.”

“Hmph!”

Caradoc merely grunted and crossed his arms, refusing to look at Gideon, who, realizing his lover was truly angry, moved closer to appease him:

“Come now, start absorbing it. Enda and I will protect you.”

“What protection can a pure support Superhuman like you offer… Ah… Ouch!”

Caradoc hadn’t expected Gideon to dare to tweak his ear, and he cried out in surprise and pain:

“It hurts, you flirt!”

“What are you calling a flirt?”
