“Yeah, I’m pretty sure they wanted her because she’s Parley’s daughter.”

“Nobody knew that till she got associated with you.”

Cain stared at him for a moment. Then he spoke quietly. “Your people tortured me half to death because her father thought I took her.”

Steve looked away briefly at that. The bruises on Cain’s face were still visible even after cleaning up. His knuckles were healing badly too. Neither of them said anything for a few seconds till finally, Steve inhaled sharply.

“Fine,” he muttered. “Then what do you want?”

Cain looked directly at him. “If Parley wants to see his daughter, he comes himself.”

“What?” Steve frowned immediately.

“I’m only letting anybody see Liana if your boss is present.”

Steve stared at him like he’d lost his mind, “Okay, first of all, he’s not my boss. I work WITH him, not FOR him.” He cleared. “Secondly, you want Parley Reeves to personally come to a fucking biker clubhouse?”

“Yes.”
