“What?” I asked again but got no reply. I turned around to find what he was looking for but nothing was fascinating behind me. “Why are you staring at me?” I asked him.
“I am mesmerized by your beauty. I told your parents, it was love at first sight so here we are, I forget I came to lend a book and stare at a complete stranger whose beauty captured my heart,” he explained.
I laughed and looked at his serious face. “What, are you really falling in love with me again?” I asked him and burst into laughter.
“What is funny?” He asked me.
“Do you know how cringe that sounds?” I asked him still trying not to laugh.
“We are going to get kicked out of the library if you keep laughing so loudly,” He said.
“Don’t worry about that,” I assured him.
“I have to be, your laugh sounds so horrible they must think an animal is dying in here,” He said and moved away from the shelf. I stopped laughing offended by his words.
