Lizzy’s POV

I opened my eyes slowly, noticing a bright light, and immediately closed them again. I stayed like that for what felt like a second before opening my eyes once more.

I stood up and looked around the room, realizing I was now in a different place. What happened? I questioned myself.

Feeling pain all around me, I couldn’t understand what was happening. Immediately, the door opened, and Liam grabbed me by the wrists, holding me in his hands.

“Liam,” I called out as I stared up at him.

“Shh, love, don’t move. You might still be in pain from all the beating you received. Just calm down; I’m here now.”

I lay my head on his chest, unable to hear his heartbeat, but feeling warm, and I just wanted to stay that way.

My mind shifted back to Cara. I really intended to kill her. That’s what actually happened.
