Chapter 53

Lizzy’s POV

I opened my eyes to see darkness surrounding me, and I placed my hands on my head as if my life was being taken from me. I looked around and realized I was in a cage. “Did he cage me?” I wondered as I tried to sit up. I took another look around until everything became clear to me. “So he locked me up.”

I approached the cage, placed my hands on it, and yelled his name. “Liam!”

As I became enraged while attempting to break down the cage, I felt a silent response. “Stop wasting your time,” I said as I turned around to see Cara standing on the other side of the room, staring at me. I had no idea she was watching me all along. “What was she doing here?”

I turned and walked in the direction where she was, but I couldn’t get to her because the cage was keeping us apart.

“Are you satisfied?” I looked at her as she smiled down at me without saying anything. As my eyes followed her every move, I watched her walk around, circling the cage.
