Chapter 27. The Dinner

"Emma, you don't need to diet here." Andrew's deep voice slightly surprised Emma. The young man took a seat in the empty chair next to Emma. The next moment, he spread out a napkin, "May I?" After Emma nodded, Andrew placed the napkin on Emma's lap.

Andrew took the steak plate from in front of Emma and began cutting the beef into pieces. "She said she wants to diet for the wedding preparations. I wonder. Her body is already perfect. Why diet further? Now, eat this." Andrew slid the plate of sliced steak back in front of Emma.

Of course, Andrew was just making up the diet story about Emma. He had never taken his eyes off her since she arrived, and when he saw her looking bewildered at the meal in front of her, he knew exactly what to do before she became the target of other family members' judgment due to table manners.

Mrs. Sonya smiled and said, "Yes, Andrew is right. You don't need to diet. For heaven's sake, you're not overweight at all."
