There was a knock on my office door, and I was truly pissed because I was already so caught up in work, and the last thing I needed was a little more distraction.

The knock only became more and more persistent, and I had no choice but to let whoever it was in, even though I already had an idea of who it was.

“Come in,” I said, making my voice more stern than usual.

Logan walked in, and I was not surprised since it was quite easy to guess that he was the one anyway. He had files in his hands and I prayed they were urgent because I had told him to put other work on hold until I was ready or it was urgent.

“What do you want?” I asked as he walked over to my desk and laid the papers on the table.

“I am sorry to disturb you, boss,” he apologized, and I just gave him a fake smile. “But it’s urgent; I need your signature on this,” he was practically begging me.
