Waking up to the faint morning light seeping through the curtains, I stretched my limbs, the heaviness of sleep gradually gave way to the consciousness of a new dawn. I rose from the bed, feeling a little heavy, there was a note neatly placed on the bedside table.

“Good morning, Olivia,” the note began. “I hope you have a good day. Make sure to eat something healthy for the baby. I’ve asked Mrs. King to prepare something nutritious for you. Please don’t skip any meals. Furthermore, please move back into my room. We’ll talk later. Please let me know if there’s anything you’d like me to bring back for you to help with any cravings, even though it’s still the early stages of your pregnancy.”
