OLIVIA

I stared out the window, wondering how my life had suddenly come down to this. It wasn’t so evident for me. I still couldn’t understand how this was possible. We only made love one time, it was just one time.

But one time is all that it takes to get knocked up and pregnant. My heart clenched tight as the thought dawned on me, I was pregnant for the man whose family ruined my dad’s business.

Hot tears ran down my eyes as I thought of it. I didn’t want the baby, there was no way I would carry his baby. There was no way my father’s murderer would be the father of my baby.

The door sprang open, revealing Emily with a worried look on her face. I had called her up when I needed someone to talk to, there was no way I was going to face this on my own.

“Honey,” she came up to me, and then I ran to hug her. I cried out, letting out all of my tears as I let everything out.

I didn’t even talk and she didn’t force me to. She just let me cry everything t
