The ride back home was a bumpy one, both physically and emotionally. As the car rolled along the familiar streets, my mind couldn’t help but replay how the car ran me over, for every time I close my eyes, I still have that image.
Ethan’s silence during the drive back home was almost deafening. I stole a few glances at him, his eyes fixed on the road ahead, his jaw clenched as if holding back a barrage of words. I knew he had much to say, much that had remained unsaid during my time in the hospital.
