Chapter 39
RHIANNON
“How did it go?” Ashley asked the moment I got home, anticipating my arrival and story.
“Uh… how do I say this?” I questioned myself.
“To say what?” she asked, rushing to me.
“I went to see the person on the other side… it was an older lady. Apparently, according to her, she was my nanny, she worked for my parents,” I answered.
“Yeah… is that why you look so devastated?” she inquired, noticing the creased lines on my forehead.
“My dad didn’t die in an accident,” I paused. “He was murdered by someone in the Leon family. And all these years… I blamed myself for his death, but turns out… he was murdered by someone,” I said with a heavy heart.
“Wait… I thought you said he was driving, and when he turned to you, a car hit him. Also, Leon, as in Alessandro Leon?” she asked, her expression showing she was just as puzzled as I was.
“That is what I recall every time… or was that some sort of fever dream?” I plopped onto the chair.
