It was utter darkness. My wrists were wrangled behind my back, and it hurt like hell. Every twist, every tug sent sharp stings shooting up my arms. My face throbbed where someone had hit me earlier, and the gagging smell of damp concrete filled my nostrils.

“Leon… when I get you, I’ll report you to the police!” I yelled, blindfolded.
