The mumbling behind Hailey’s door had finally stopped and I couldn’t hear a thing except the moving of the sheets

Maybe she’s just having some trouble sleeping

I walked back to my room, grabbing off my keys from the table before gently walking downstairs.

“Where is this wh*re of a woman!” Mr Darcy yelled from outside as I had the sign on the door still reading as ‘closed’

“Mr Darcy..” I said as I opened the door, letting him in.

“You haven’t paid this month’s rent, it’s due!” He yelled, his bulky shirt buttons trying its best to hold off his bloated stomach which looked like that of a pregnant lady
