Chapter 16

"So, are you coming with me to Bandung or not?"

I didn't take my eyes off the sunset we were enjoying together. Levi was in Lombok, so there was no greeting from the balcony next to my apartment.

Zack told me about his cousin's wedding in three days. Nobody told him to be present, but he felt he had missed too many important events while still in the UK. So he decided to come back for a few days. It's not that I didn't want to come, but I wasn't ready to meet Zack's extended family. Meeting the family meant that our relationship would be ready to go to the next level. It was not that we were not serious, but involving the family added a certain weight, and I wasn’t ready for that.

"Do you think it's a good idea?" Even though I had made a decision, I still asked for Zack's opinion. If he wanted me to come, I would go. But if he gave me a choice, I would stay in Bali.

"Of course!"

"If you want me to come, I'll come."

"Why do you answer like that?"
