Chapter 35
"Keep me updated, and text me when you’ve arrived."
I nodded.
Last night we had dinner at Le Jules Verne, one of the two restaurants in the Eiffel Tower, and Levi went all out. The view was spectacular, and I had to admit. I hardly ever spend hours just sitting in a restaurant. We also went shopping yesterday—Levi insisted on paying because he invited me to dine at that restaurant—at a boutique I wouldn't have entered, knowing I didn't need expensive clothes. Levi didn't stop teasing me until I finally agreed to wear something fairly formal. To be honest, I looked ridiculous. On the contrary, he looked amazing in his dining attire. Just because we're friends doesn't mean I can't compliment Levi, right? His hair was neatly combed back, and anyone who didn't know our story would think how lucky I was to have Levi when they saw the two of us together. We even discussed it, and it turned into a joke.
