Chapter 6. A Journey to Begin

In all my years, I had never seen the Alpha King so bothered, and the fact that it was over a common maid was even more surprising. I had been hoping his first erection would be a result of the potion, but when the woman they brought to him ran out naked, my hopes were dashed.

Although I had not gotten a good look at the maid I sent to his room, she seemed like nothing special. Alpha Rhys had described her as best he could, shutting his eyes as if in pain. The maid must be some sort of witch to have such a hold on him.
