Chapter 108. The Inferno Pack

“I made a pact with her,” Sam replied

“What Pact?” Rhiannon questioned

“Never to come close again. We remain mates, but from a good distance,”

“That’s gonna kill you both!” Rhiannon cried.

“Well, it was either I let the heat kill her last night or promise her that,”

Rhiannon felt terrible. Neither Sam nor Layla deserved this. If only she hadn’t rushed Layla so much. If only she had returned last night like she promised, none of this would have happened.

“That says it all,” Rhiannon shrugged, all hope vanishing, “I’m officially the worst friend ever!”

Everything was ready for the big day.

Rhiannon had related everything she had learnt from the True North Pack, including the fact that they had made an alliance with the Wavecrest Pack to try to take down Elijah.

Right now, Elijah, Rhiannon and a few other warriors were standing by the border, awaiting some... visitors that should be arriving anytime from now.
