Chapter 110. The War Begins

Elijah gripped her shoulders, as a harsh volt of electricity strung down his body, carrying pangs of pain with it...then, it was replaced with pleasure.

It made him feel lightheaded for a moment.

When Rhiannon pulled back, the mate mark was right there on his neck.

He stared at her in awe.

“There you go,” She said and kissed his cheek, “Now, don’t talk to me about killing anyone, okay? We are getting through this and coming back home together,”

Just then, she heard Kaden’s footsteps approaching the door. Rhiannon broke into a run, already out of the house and meeting Kaden, so Elijah could say or do anything.

The talk about killing him had seriously freaked her out. What the hell was he thinking?!

Elijah watched her leave, before a look of pure disbelief colored his face. Then, he laughed.

He turned back to the mirror to study the mark on his neck. It was still red and swollen, and he was still a bit lightheaded. Then, he smiled.
