She excused herself for a moment and walked over to him.
He looked up warily with questions in his eyes when he saw her approaching, “I smell fire in the air. Lots of it,” he said.
“Yeah,” She bent over to meet his height level, “The Inferno Pack are here. They wanna help us with the battle,” She paused, glanced back at Alpha Vulcan, then asked, “What do you think about him? Is he a good guy?”
“I won’t know till my drawing says so,” He answered.
“Speaking about that...,” She glanced at both hands and saw that they were empty, “Where’s your book and pen?”
“It’s home,”

“I took a break,”
