Chapter 94. Disappointment

Rhiannon had just knocked on the door to Killian’s study when Eleanor approached her. She was still visibly angry from her conversation with Ethan, but was trying to mask it as she flashed Rhia a sweet smile.

Before either of them could say anything, Killian’s deep voice called from the other side, “Come in!”

Eleanor turned the doorknob and walked in, with Rhiannon behind her.

Ingrid, Killian’s wife, was present and seated on the couch by the side, reading a book while Killian was busy at his table.

“Dad!” She called out excitedly.

It was Ingrid who stood up to hug her, “El, you’re back again,”

“Yes, mum. I came to see dad,”

“You never come to see me. Aren’t I important to you?”

“Of course you’re. Don’t worry, I’ll make sure we spend some time together before I head back today,”

Ingrid then glanced back at Rhia, and a discontented frown burned in her eyes, “Why do you have to do this? Rhiannon doesn’t need help,”
