Chapter 27. Goodbye to the Bar

Rose’s POV

I had packed up, and I was ready to leave. I didn’t expect my life to take this turn so quickly. According to a person I had never seen in my life, I had a new job that was waiting for me, and I didn’t even know where it was located. I didn’t know where I was going.

But I was leaving anyway.

“Hey, are you ready?” Florence asked as she picked up my second luggage.

We were standing in the store room now. She had helped me pick up all my stuff and arrange it neatly in two bags. We spent the previous night hugging each other and crying silently so no one would hear us. The following morning, we said all our goodbyes with promises of me returning to get her once I had made enough money to afford a living for myself.
