Chapter 28. A New Employer

Rose’s POV

We didn’t drive for so long. We arrived at the airport and started to make our way in. I tried to make small talk with the driver and find out where we were going, but he said nothing. He was either not interested in a conversation with me, or he was following instructions to keep me in the dark. I gave up after a few trials and just let him lead the way.

We didn’t buy tickets at the airport. He just walked in like he owned the entire place. One of the airport personnel walked over and started to converse with him as he made his way. I simply followed behind like a lost cow.

We proceeded to a jet led by the airport personnel, and we boarded. No one spoke to me or asked me for an ID card or anything.
