Chapter 26. Bullies
Rose’s POV
“How is that any of your business?”
“You think you’re so better than us, Rose. I’m glad the manager put you in your place. I even heard she and her silly bestie were trying to get a house,” another of the girls said.
I tried to think about what could have gotten these girls to come talk to me. I was never in their business, and I never even spoke to them about anything. Why did they suddenly have the courage to walk up to me?
“If you’ve said all you want to, please leave me alone—”
I wasn’t fast enough to dodge the dirty wash liquid that one of the girls threw into my face. It got in my eyes and burned. I took some steps back away from them and shielded my face with my hands.
