I don’t know how much time has passed, but I woke up not even understanding if it was still day or already night. Jaewon was still beside me, still holding me and softly snoring, but when I tried to disentangle myself from him to get out of bed without waking him up, I felt him move before yawning and opening his eyes, just as confused as I was.

“What time is it?” he asked, but I shrugged, yawning before finally getting up.

“I’ll go check on Ariel,” I informed him, leaving the room like a zombie, but smiled when I opened the door to the little room, now dark, and approached the crib, watching my little one in the middle of a nest-like pillow, sleeping peacefully.

I observed her clothes; she was already wearing another little outfit.

“Did Ariel poop?” I asked my mother-in-law, seeing her smile and nod.

“But I took care of it. Did you get some rest?”
