POV: Harin
“Are you okay? I was in the recording booth.” I heard Hye-so’s voice asking, and I nodded, forcing a smile.
“Sure? You look a bit down.”
“I’m fine; just had a few hours of sleep.”
“Hm… why? Were you with someone?”
I widened my eyes, and he seemed awkward after staring at me for a few seconds.
“I mean…” he cleared his throat and fiddled with some buttons, even more disoriented. “I’m sorry.”
“It’s okay.” I smiled, seeing him look at me. His cheeks were as red as ripe tomatoes. “Can we continue?”
“Oh, yes. Let’s, um… on line four?”
I nodded and put the headphones back on. I heard the melody start, and I looked at the sheet with the song lyrics in my hands. It was nothing related to the artist Kai this time. Hye-so just wanted my voice, and I still didn’t understand why. But he was practically my boss, so I didn’t want to bombard him with questions or complaints. I just nodded and entered.
