POV: Harin
When we park, Taesu still curses at me but fixes his hair and holds my hand as we enter.
“Good morning,” he greets the receptionist. “We have a beta HCG test scheduled.”
“Alright, please, what’s the patient’s name?”
I cringe when I hear her refer to me in the feminine, but my brother intervenes.

“A man? But this test is usually done on women, I think you might be mistaken,” she smiles.
Taesu smiles even more, but it’s the kind of smile I know he uses not to be rude.

“Sir, this is a test to measure beta HCG levels, usually used to detect pregnancies. It’s done for women.”
“Or in a man, or a human with a reproductive system, including a uterus. So, no, I didn’t make a mistake.”
