Aria’s POV

A third witch, a woman with long red hair, joined the attack. She sent chains of silver light wrapping around Agnes’s arms and legs. Agnes shrieked and tore through them in rage, but it cost her energy.

Hazel sent several blasts of violet magic. Agnes blocked them, but each impact made her barrier flicker more. Cracks were starting to show in her defense. She was weakening.

“You’re nothing but pests!” Agnes snarled. She threw a wave of dark energy at the witches, but four of them combined their magic to create a shield that absorbed the blow.
