I shook my head, and forced myself to continue walking.

No, I was just getting ahead of myself. I couldn’t go around healing people.

‘These are not just people,’ Jade murmured in my head. ‘Some are fathers, mothers, children, and most importantly, they are your pack members.’

I paused with a frown on my face, genuinely surprised. “Woah, when did you suddenly grow a conscience, Jade?” I asked, glancing around to make sure no one saw me talking to myself.
