Aria's POV

For some reason, his wordings were annoying me, but I decided to let them go. There was no use dwelling on whether he saw the wrong in what he did, or if he still thought he was right. I still had other issues to deal with. Like his closeness with Astrid.

Knox furrowed his eyebrows at me. “What’s on your mind? Something else is still bothering you.” He commented.

“I’m not comfortable with how close you and Astrid are getting, Knox.” I blurted out. I winced internally. I didn’t want to sound like a jealous and possessive mate. I just wanted to sound cautious.

Knox frowned, “What? I just told you that–”

“I know, I know, I heard you. You said she was just like a friend, blah, blah, blah. And I trust you. It’s Astrid I don’t trust.” I replied firmly.
