Leo squinted at the footage. “Could be anyone. Friend, maybe?”
Rick snorted. “Friend? Please. I’ve worked security in Vegas long enough to know what’s what. That’s your classic one-night special right there.” He clicked through different camera angles. “You rich folks come here thinking you’re being discrete, but trust me—we see everything. The walk of shame is practically a morning ritual around here. Though usually they’re gone before sunrise, not...” He checked the timestamp again. “Seven-fifteen.”
“Fascinating documentary on Vegas dating habits, Rick.” I straightened up, my mind already piecing together a different puzzle. “But I think we’re barking up the wrong tree here.”
Leo raised an eyebrow. “You getting that feeling too?”
“Come on.” I headed for the door, Leo following close behind. Once we were clear of the security room, I stopped. “Maybe we’re looking at this all wrong.”
“What do you mean?” Leo’s brow furrowed.
