Chapter 15. Elroy

Gene and I were like strangers every time we bumped into each other in the office. I rarely go there and strangely when I do, he's there as if he was waiting on me though I know it might be just pure luck.

Jacqueline was back from her family visit, and she also said that he has been in the office a lot. My extracurricular activities with Gene didn't sit well with her.

"That man shouldn't say what he said, and now he's actually acting like those obsessed clients that you should stay away from..." She muttered from across the table, her coffee was getting cold as she kept talking about Gene. She had a lot to say about that man.

I told Jacqueline about Gene's love declaration and the woman hated that he said that to me.

"So, how long will you be gone this time? you just got back," I sighed and play with her fingers mindlessly. "...Kamaria really had your scheduled fully book huh?"
