Chapter 41. The Fate, the Loss

We spent the whole day cooped up and sexed-up, our feelings were out in the open but the day ended and the next day was inevitable.

"Rain, my love..." Durwin kissed my temple, while I was still hugging him. Ranulf was spooning me from behind, knowing that I needed his support.

"No. I'm not going, I won't."

Another day passed, and Durwin asked me again and I answered him with the same answer. Up until the third day. I was numbed that day, my feelings, my thoughts, I was going crazy thinking of ways to avoid my fate.

But I couldn't find any, by the fourth day I finally gave up. My heart was broken, I was slowly dying on the inside. Both Ranulf and Durwin tried, but none was successful. I was unwell, I was shattered, and I was done.

Fuck the universe, fuck the fate, I was just done. I was finally accepting the incoming tragedy.

"...alright, "

"Huh?"

"I said alright. I'm ready... well, I'm not but, I don't know anymore..."
