Chapter 107
Before I could finish my sentence, a scream pierced the air, as I spun around to see one of the men in black had rushed towards us, grabbing the artist by the arm and holding a knife to her throat. "Don't move, or I'll cut her!" he snarled, his eyes wild. "You'll do as I say, or she'll be harmed!" The artist was trembling, tears streaming down her face. I didn't know what to do. I had to protect her, but I didn't want to risk her getting hurt. I was frozen with fear, unable to act.
Just then, the man's phone rang. He quickly answered, his eyes never leaving me. "I've got the girl," he said into the phone. "I'll bring her in." He hung up the phone and began to drag the artist away. But then, to my shock, he suddenly let go of her and started running away. "Run!" I yelled, and the artist took off in the opposite direction, her feet pounding on the pavement. I was about to run after her when I heard a shout behind me.
