Chapter 76

I heard the service bell ring and other helps ran into the kitchen. I was certain that many of them had ran off after yesterdays little play and the only ones here are the ones who must be desperate for the pay. Money is power. I heard all the shit people said about knowledge and game of thrones was fucking right.

  The maid set my breakfast before me, eggs, toast and black coffee. I was about to dive right in when I suddenly remembered myself.

I pointed at a maid and beckoned for her. She looked at me nervously and looked at the other maids before walking slowly towards me.

“Who made this meal?” I asked her in a gentle tone.

“It was me madam.” she replied shyly. I was troubled by this new fear they had for me. Who would have thought of it this way, I had actually enjoyed it a minute ago but right now I felt like an absolute monster.
